You might remember our review of WinXDvd Ripper back in May this year. The developers of WinXDvd Ripper kindly gave away some 30 licenses for our readers.  This time I want to tell you about WinXdvd Rippers bigger brother the WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe. If you have invested big money in the latest HD ready equipment, it would be a shame to miss out on the great quality when you convert your backup your Blu-Rays or DVDs. FontFolder 3 Great Freeware Font Management ProgramsAre you a fan of fonts? I know I am. And if you have visited this site for some time, you will no doubt be sitting on a huge pile of free fonts. Now, Windows doesn’t have a specific number of maximum allowed fonts you can enable (or install) – but installing each and every one you own at once, will increase boot time and may slow your system down to snail pace…There are many applications out there that will help you to manage your fonts by enabling the font you need – when you need it. The best programs also help you sort your fonts for easier management. The best ones, aren’t free (usually), and those who are, doesn’t always give you what you want, or need. For many years now I’ve been using a Font Management Program originally developed for the MAC platform called SuitCase. All though they have a free version, their best (and most functional, and costly) version is the paid version. Needing to upgrade my SuitCase Program I started out searching for a free tool that could replace it. Hoping to find at least one – I ended up with three promising alternatives. not allowed 500x297 Ultimate Media Center: Use External Players for Broader Media Center Playback

We already know from Deck’s great posts and RSVR85’s Media Center customization guide that Windows Media Center is a robust media hub with a great user interface. The ability to pull in internet TV, act as a DVR for broadcast TV, and serve as a library for music, pictures, and videos has made it my choice in my home entertainment center. However, it does have its shortcomings, one of which is its inability to play some types of video files without third-party software. I’m going to show you how to make this a non-issue by configuring Windows Media Center to utilize non-Windows Media Player programs to play these files.

PowerShell Icon Monitor CPU and Memory Usage with Just One Click in Windows 7 [How To]No matter how much money you have invested in a new computer, sooner or later you will face performance problems.

These problems are usually related with the CPU or the memory. Computers are becoming so complex that you need all the help you can get to find the source of the problems.

The first thing I do when I notice that my computer is not acting as it should is run Task Manager. With this tool you can easily see the usage of Memory and CPU of every process on your computer. I always do the same: look for the processes that are using more CPU and see if there are enough physical memory available.

So, why not have a utility that do the same with just one click and that can be easily found in your Windows 7 Taskbar?

To do this we are going to use one component of Windows 7, PowerShell, that can be also used in other Windows versions.

Stop identity Theft EXIF: Your Personal Information May be Stored in Your Digital PhotosEver heard of EXIF ? Neither had I until recent. EXIF (Exchangeable Image File) is data stored in JPEG and TIFF image files, such as shutter speed, date and time, focal length, exposure compensation, metering pattern, image source, date for edit and if a flash was used a the time a photo was taken.

But EXIF also stores more information than that.

If you’re a fan of the CSI series (or any other crime fighting series), you have undoubtedly seen that they from time to time try to verify if a photo has been altered in any way. What they draw their conclusion on, is the EXIF Data stored in the file. What they don’t tell you is that some equipment also stores your GPS-position which may lead someone to your home adress, phonenumber, income etc.
