Change the behaviour of Windows 7 Taskbar Thumbnails [Quick Tip]
We’ve previously told you about Taskbar Thumbnails and how to use the Taskbar more efficiently. Personally I love the stack functionality in the Windows 7 Taskbar. Stacking all the thumbnails is a great way to keep the taskbar tidy and compact. The only thing that irritates me is that it doesn’t (by default) keep track of which of the windows I was working on last. If I’m working on several Excel Documents and I need to switch to another program for a few minutes, going back to the same Excel document will often lead me flipping through the entire stack.
There is a way to change this behavior, letting the Stack-feature save which window you worked in last. It requires a small Registry hack – and as always, create a backup before you do in case something should go horribly wrong. That being said, here’s how to fix it:

Project: Convert Windows Phone 6.5 to Android 4.03
I’ve had an old HTC Diamond for ages, running Windows Mobile 6.1, which at the time was a great phone (it was in the early days of the Smart Phone Era. Before apps took control over the mobile world). I tried the iPhone for a while, but could never bring myself to like it (or it’s locked down security tight OS). I decided to revert back to HTC, and this time the HD2. Of course this running Windows Mobile 6.5 doesn’t make it a great phone either. Microsoft didn’t go all out on this one, in regards to software quality, drivers, and app availability. But the hardware … Now That’s impressive. Too bad I was stuck on Windows – or was I?

Windows 8: Bring back the Start-Menu Orb
As you probably already know, Microsoft released their “Windows 8 Consumer Preview”. Some say it bold, others say it’s stupid – removing the old familiar start-button from the taskbar. It’s probably just out of old-habit, but I struggled without it. And I’m not the only one. Meaning someone already made a fix for it.
