I have a Maxtor 500GB external hard drive, when i plug it in when vista is up and running vista detects it fine. However, when i reboot and the Maxtor is still plugged in it fails to detect it and when i go to open it up vista tells me i need to format the drive. If i unplug the Maxtor and plug it back in, everything is back to normal. Will this guide sort this out?
Cheers
