The new version of Snag-It (v9) is a great product. I use it at work, but need to get a copy for use at home. I support many friends and family with their computer concerns and am constantly creating procedures and “how-to” articles to guide them. Snag-It is an essential tool in my software toolbox for doing this… capturing screen shots easily, annotating the screen shots quickly and simply and getting the finished shot into a document. As a Public Librarian we are constantly working on how to market the Public Library to our Patrons. We will use Snagit to use screen captures in our Online Public Library Access Catalog (OPAC)training program. Even kids who claim that they know “all” about computers are frequently at a loss when using Public Library resources. Training programs using Snagit will include: training for our Downloadable Digital Audio Books, using the World Almanac (program that I do for 4th and 5th grade students at our local elementary school, in-house marketing kiosks (combination of Open Office Impress and Snagit), staff training in regard to technology resources etc.

I would use it to take pics of webdesigns I screwed up and need help with, or if I didn’t screw it up, to show my friends how good I am at designing templates xD

I would love to own a copy of SnagIt 9. I monitor a games site and it would be really useful in collecting evidence of cheats etc

Snagit is great for documenting detailed help procedures for doing almost anything in any program, I use it at work and would love to have a copy for my home for my family to learn how to use and teach with.

Yes Rich,I subscribed. Why? I want to not miss any of mintywhite articles. Would not want to lose my Vista books,my email articles are also important so I would use snagit to capture all.

I have started using it at work recently. When customers send me their files generated in our commercial realestate software I often times have to make adjustments to what they have done. Snagit allows me to easily kep track of the changes I have made so they can be reversed if needed. In addition I can send customers quick and profesional looking “How tos” showing them how get results from out software.

I would love a copy, I have used an older version. I work in the IT field and I am always be asked for “how to’s” from my users. Most of them want it “idiot proof” so I put a lot of pictures in it.

Snag-It sounds great. I now do several different things, all far from perfect, to do the same thing. For websites, I may just do a paste special in Word to get the text, or a screen shot. Sounds like SnagIt gets me everything. I would love to have a copy.

I have difficulty typing on any size keyboard. I think a screen capture program would enable me to capture a screen shot and process it through a paper processing program.

Use it to assist senior citizens with PC problems over the internet. I am helping them all of the time and this will allow me to show some things through high lighted pictures and comments. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

I used to use Snag It. It really is a good program. But I think you should also check out ASHAMPOO SNAP 3. I like it even better than Snag It.

I would use this program to work with pics of my family as well as it would help me digaram easier when creating how to do guides for people that I help out with their computer issues.

If I had SnagIt, I would use it to capture images from a program I am currently creating (in VB.Net). For the past 6 months I have been working on a program — Desktop Application Programming (a 2008 -2009 FBLA – PBL competitive event). So far I have made my way to the National competition by being First place in state. But, in order for me to create the long process tutorials for the program, or the Help Content (chm), I must do screen capturing for the program. This is because the guidelines and rules for the Desktop Application Programming are very strict on program documentation. After all, I am just a high school student. If had a screen capturing utility (in which I currently don’t), I would use it for educational purposes (for the competition), in which I know I can be top 10 on Nationals for FBLA. I know that the trail version of SnagIt is for 30 days, but competition is late June. I need lots of time to work on the “Help Content.” I would totally appreciated if a receive license key for SnagIt. Thank You.

I love it, its real the best tool I have seen

i would use it to help out my not so tech savvy friends who keep asking me for help.

i would use it for editing photos since it is also great for tagging / captioning etc

I would use it to make screen captures for use in my Windows, Word and Excel classes. I teach at a local computer store and the vast majority of the students are elderly and have been forced into buying a computer by their 6 year old grand kids. I have found the more visual information I can integrate into the class handouts, the more willing the students are to practice during the week.

I would love to have this program. I am always trying to capture something on the screen, but the regular click and drag just doesn’t get it. I would mostly use it for capturing the tv guide so I can print it out.

I have Snag-It and LOVE it. I’ve used to capture textual images & other graphics for my websites and blogs. I’d use it to great more original graphics.

I would love a copy of SnagIt. It would be so helpful in my work as a support tech. I have to connect to customer systems on a daily basis and gather information regarding the errors they are receiving. This program would make this task so much easier. I love my job and any programs/tools I can get to make it easier to support my customers is a huge plus!
