virtualbox 220x220 VirtualBox is a Free Virtualization Software PackagePROS: Operating system virtualization with no cost to the user. Easy to use and simple for users of all skill levels. Small footprint on system resources (other than the resources used by the virtual machine.)

CONS: There aren’t many cons with this program; however, the biggest thing that I dislike is the main menu, which is used to load the VMs— it just doesn’t match up to VMWare Workstation. But … this is free so I’ll live with it. Although the interface is kept simple, I find myself clicking next far too many times when setting up a virtual machine for the first time.

VERDICT: If you’re looking for a virtual machine host solution—whether it be for software testing, for virus execution and fun, or too write guides like I do without restarting your computer every five minutes, VirtualBox will do this for you.

Remember, since this does involve editing the Registry you should take a backup before you start, but you already know that don’t you :-) If you’re new to editing the registry, start here.

ie8 screenshot 220x220 Disable Reopen Last Browsing Session feature in IE8 [How To]Internet Explorer 8 comes with a series of new features. One of those is the ability to reopen your last session. This can be a good feature whenever the browser crashes or you accidentally close the browser in the middle of a research where you have lots of open pages (some of which you don’t remember the direct url for). Of course there has always been the History list – but now you can retrieve your last session with one click (Found in the TOOLS menu).

However – there might be situations or security issues involved where you don’t want anyone to be able to do just that. Then you can turn off the “Last Browsing Session” all together.

NOTE! I didn’t manage to get this to work on my system, but It might be due to the fact that I run a 64-bit system. So in case it may help you, here is how:
