PROS: Helps you watch videos of all types without having to install different codecs each time. the relatively small and efficient download.

CONS: If not installed correctly, you can add lots of stuff that you will never use. In another program is lightweight, I don’t like installing programs are never use on my PC.

VERDICT: If you try to play video with Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center and you either yet no sound, no video, or nothing at all, this codec pack will likely fix that problem. Thus, I recommend this program to all Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center users.

Thank you for sharing, but I would like vista codecs pack too. I can’t play some movies at all.

    Thank you in advance.

why not to use K-Lite Mega Codec Pack that can be installed on any XP, Vista, Win7 and Server edition?

Does Fast forward & rewind work in windows media player with this codecs pack? (Like it does for .wmv videos)
[I’m currently using vista & planing on buying a new computer with win7.]

With K-light codec pack (little old version) fast forward/rewind does not show up in WMP.

Good question and I don’t have a direct answer (don’t have a Windows 7 machine availble) and it could depend on the encoding of the WMV file. Your best shot will be to ask in the forums.

For Vista, did you find anything that could rewind/fastforward with WMP.

I think most vista/7 codec packs are same. A win7 codecs pack should work on vista & a vista codec pack should work on win7. (Most of the time)
