For those of you who haven’t been introduced to Live Mesh before, it’s a great way of synchronising folders between two or more computers, as long as they are both on the internet, quite similar to DropBox. It also gives you remote access capabilities, and 5GB of online space using SkyDrive, so that you can access all of your data online.

And for those of  you that have heard of it, or use it, you’ll need to know that the beta will be discontinued as of March 31st, 2011. In the last few days, they have sent e-mails out letting users know as well. If you currently have it, you’ll need to remove it from your computer, and install Live Mesh 2011. You need to then re-add your folders, and you’ll be good to go!

You can access your devices and files by going to devices.live.com.

I, for one, have definitely been impressed by the new Live Mesh, and Live Mesh overall, and am always switching between Live Mesh & DropBox! Which one do you prefer – let us know in the comments?
