Why Do You Need a Windows 7 Disc?

Here are some of the reasons for having a Windows 7 disc:

  • You have a license for Windows 7 but no disc.
  • You want to give Windows 7 a try for 30 days (or 120 — see below) before making a purchase.
  • Want to have the disc on hand for original files/recovery purposes (see Windows 7 recovery disc if you don’t want the whole thing.)
  • You just like owning discs with operating systems on them…

features cursortransition InputDirector: Use the same keyboard and mouse on all your computersSo the other day I was working on my desktop computer while having my laptop next to it. Whenever I wanted to use something that was on the laptop I found myself  use my desktops mouse and keyboard. Naturally this didn’t work very well. I then remembered reading something (in the forums here) about a tool that would allow me to control any computer connected to my LAN using the same keyboard and mouse. Doing some research I discovered two freeware solutions: Synergy and InputDirector.

In this article we’ll take you through the whole process, step by step, with plenty of screen shots. The tuner for this report is the WinTV-HVR-NovaT .

Without a TV Tuner Card your Windows Media Center menu will give you the option to set it up.
