If you share your computer with someone else, you may already have multiple user accounts set up. If you don’t, I recommend them and plan a comprehensive guide in the near future. In this guide you’ll learn a time saving tip: creating a shortcut to switch users in Windows XP or Vista.
Please note: This will only work for users of Vista Home Premium, Business, and Ultimate
Creating a Shortcut Icon to Switch Users
1. Right click the desktop and select New > Shortcut

2. In the location box type %SYSTEMROOT%\system32\tsdiscon.exe then click Next

3. Enter a name and click Finish
Now when you want to switch users, double click the shortcut.
