Got that?  Want to go ahead and link your online ID with your Windows 7 user account?

Step 1.

Click on the Start Menu, type link id and click Link Online IDs from the search results.

Step 2.

In the Control Panel window click, Add an online ID provider.

Step 3.

You’ll be taken to this site (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows7/online-id-providers).  Download and run the appropriate installer for your PC.

Accept the licence agreement and click Install.

Choose whether you’d like to help improve Windows Live and click Next.

Once the installer has done its thing, click Finish.

Step 4.

Windows Live ID will now be listed in the Control Panel window from before.

Click Link online ID.

Step 5.

Enter your Windows Live login details and click, Sign In.

The control panel window will now reflect your Windows Live ID and offer links to update the credential or remove it.

Click OK and you now have your Online ID linked to your Windows 7 user account.
