Microsoft FixIT Center Fixes Problems with Windows

I know, there are tons of sites and applications trying to make a living out of fixing your Windows Problems. The reason for this is mainly because Microsoft’s Solutions Center has always been so high-tech, and not very user-friendly.

Finding solutions to common Windows problems using the Microsoft Website has always been a daunting task. Making you read through tons of more or less useless Tech Information that the common user cannot make any sense of.

Now, Microsoft is finally trying to make amends, by offering a new free product called: “Fix it” .

Desktop Client and Online Customer Support Solution

clientmain Microsoft FixIT Center Fixes Problems with Windows Microsoft Fix it Center consist of a downloadable client that contains a set of wizards and trouble-shooters that will search solutions to problems or errors. The Client also let you create an online account where it can store your computers configuration for later use.

Thou I’m usually very careful of letting Microsoft (or any others) sit on too much information about me or my computer, I see that for some users, this really is a good idea.

Let’s face it, not all of us are Tech Savvy, and remembering what kind of graphics card, sound card, hard-drive is installed on you computer, isn’t all that easy either. So by storing this information in your own Fixit Profile you can let a Microsoft Technician log on to your profile and immediately see what kind of computer setup you have – and thereby (maybe) easier offer you a solution.

Automated or manually

Upon installation of the Fix it Center client, it automatically downloads the latest trouble-shooter to your Computer. The trouble-shooter can “find and fix” issues immediately or “find and notify” you of the issues it detected.

Personally I prefer the “Find and Notify” function, but that’s just me.

Hi, Don Hunt. Did you use the “find and notify” function or did you use the “find and fix issues immediately” function? That could be the reason why it messed up your PC if you allowed the program to fix the issues immdediately. It would be better to let it notify you first where you could see what the program wanted to fix before you allowed it to. That way you could have chosen what you wanted fixed.

Please do not be so vague about your problems , because if they read this and attempt to “fix something ” . There is Only copmplaining , and no info . thanks Greg M
