Load Vista Menus Faster

To shorten the time it takes for the menu to appear, do the following:

    1. Start Registry Editor (Start > Run > “regedit”)
    2. In the left panel, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelDesktop
    3. Double click on MenuShowDelay
    4. Change the value from 400 to 200

Load Menus Faster in Vista 1

For this to take effect, you may need to restart your system.
