If you would like µTorrent to automatically download torrents (i.e. a TV Series), follow this guide.
I pay for a cable subscription that I rarely get to use and I often miss my favorite shows like The Office and How I Met Your Mother. I can stream these shows, from the official sites, in most cases; however my internet connection isn’t always great and, at peak hours, the connection is too slow to stream well enough to view. In this guide, you’ll learn how to set up µTorrent and have it download your favorite TV shows.
Note: This guide is part of the Windows Guides’ Legal File Sharing Series. If you want to find out more about file sharing, check the topics covered here.
Disclaimer: I am very careful to ensure everything I advise on this site is legal. In my understanding, if you pay for a cable plan and you have a DVR, you can record shows: there is no limit for how long you can retain those shows on your DVR box. My recommendation is to delete these shows from you hard drive within 24 hours (fair use)—even if you are already paying for a cable/satellite subscription. If you really like the shows, buy the DVD box sets: they’re full of extras you can’t easily get online anyway.
Now we’ve got the legal part out of the way, on to the guide:

- Wait for your torrents to download
I’ve found shows download within an hour or two of them airing on TV (depends on your internet speed.) So now you no longer have to worry about missing you favorite shows.
If you use Media Center and have a TV card, you can always record the shows to your PC anyway; however, if you have a TV card, I am sure you are both aware and know how to do this.
