Some time ago, I wrote about Titan Backup, which is an all-in-one solution for backing up your files to another location, drive, or across a network.

I was recently informed of GFI backup, which is a new, free version of the combination of GFI backup and Titan backup. The two companies came together and provided this excellent home solution.

The user interface is much the same as Titan backup and you’ll find it just as easy to use.

So is this backup better than Titan Backup ?? – I’m sure the staff at GFI will say yes whereas the staff at Titan will say no :D Mergers does not mean they are kiss kiss yet. If it is a merger they should call the new co GTFiItan.

we tried out this GFI Backup and found iut that it won’t (it’s their own words) make a complete backup or image of your system drive, rather strange, isn’t it? But we ignore the notice and went on, after approx. 2 hours it completed the 42 GB backup, with errors. apparently we had to switch off UAC before we started or maybe run it as an Admin, nevertheless we have a backup a sort of…
Rich,can we login via the a normal WL account, not a Facebook? please…

What as a WL account? You don’t have to use Facebook; there are around 7 other services you can log in via.
