PROS: Search function to find your favorite app. Works on most thumb drives. Effortless, though slow, installation. Convenience on the go.

CONS: While necessary, installation can take over an hour. Difficult to customize which programs you want to see on the list.

VERDICT: LiberKey is a great program that can be used as a toolkit on the go. If you help friends with their computer’s, this will take you a long way. Just like any Thumb drive program bundle, you get a lot of what you don’t need and are sometimes left without your favorite programs, which you’ll have to install separately.

LiberKey Features

LiberKey takes a while to deploy to your thumb drive, so take your time and keep yourself busy while the installer runs. When installing, be sure to give the files their own directory if you are using your thumb drive for other purposes. In the image below, I decided to deploy LiberKey’s files to the root directory of my thumb drive; this approach is not so tidy if you have other files on your thumb drive.

You can also access the programs from the right-click menu in the notification area.

A full installation of LiberKey Ultimate takes up around 600MB, so ensure you have enough free space on your thumb drive. This screenshot was taken back in June when I first started using LiberKey, so the install may take up more space as more programs are added to the mix.

I did install install this and everything worked fine. I would reccommend instaliing it empty and adding the apps yo want one by one.
That being said my Avira Paid edition did not like it at all, claiming all kinds of virus’s and trojans. Maybe they were flse positives but I didn’t want to take the chance. Just beware. It is handy.

I’m pretty confident that Rich wouldn’t have recommended software that carries Viruses & Trojans.
Maybe consider uploading a log to the forums so we can establish what’s going on?

Sorry It was about 3 months ago. It was akso Webroot spysweeper. I personally never had any problems with this. I configured them to ignore the warnings. I am sorry I don’t have any more info than that. Maybe if it happens to anotherthey can forward the logs.
