Windows 7 Icon Shutdown A Windows Computer Remotely Using Windows 7I don not know if many of you are used to shutting down computers remotely; if you want to do it on a different computer, you need to enter a username and a password.

You need a user with administrator rights to shut down a computer remotely.

This method works on Windows XP, but Windows 7 can remember the user and password even after a reboot of your computer.

First, press Winkey + R, type \\nameserver, and press Enter, Windows then will ask you for the credentials. Remember to change nameserver for the name of the PC you want to shut down.

Personally, I don’t see the point in upgrading your hardware if your computer does everything you need it to. However, sometimes it’s nice to improve what you already have. In this guide we will learn how to make the most out of the hardware you have and make Windows 7 run faster. (Here’s a similar list for Windows XP and for Windows Vista.)

I highly recommend you create a system restore point before starting.
