The tool only does one thing and it didn't change anything about the slowdowns. Also thats the same thing that happens to me.. Just it's my OS drive so it makes everything not respond


EDIT: It's like the drive is calculating wrong at what the optimal speed is.. or it keeps parking and unparking :S

Same here.
Sometimes i'm just launching firefox and it results in a 40s-1mn freeze. Sometimes just listening to music.
And sometimes watching an HD film, then 1-2mn freeze in the middle of it...

But, strangely, I've never experienced any lag when I'm playing. Although it requires textures, maps .. to load.



EDIT: and these technologies are implemented into the drives. Why are the bugs then linked with the OS; why are we only experiencing troubles with windows seven? :/

Yeah, 50% of the time, my server doesn't lag at all, but the rest of the time it's a constant lagfest.

I only get it when it loads. ANYTHING. Game. Second half of move (No idea why :S)

Also umm I've also tried something called.. I think X-Sleep which keeps the drive active so as not to activate any parking but that didn't work either.

Yes, that was suggested earlier in this thread. X-sleep is pretty ineffective...

Oh poopie. This is a Windows 7 problem.. Just installed Vista on a seperate partition... working flawlessly. Damn getting Windows 7 when it releases

EDIT: There's no drivers for drives are there?
