Is it possible to connect two keyboards and work smoothly?

Silly question, but have you tried plugging two in? Most modern BIOS configurations allow more than one keyboard interface. i.e. Laptop has built in keyboard and will accept USB keyboard.

If two do not work at the same time (not at home where I can try it), a KVM switch is your next best bet, but only one will function at a time under this implementation.
