 Post subject: problem in kyocera FS-1900

now my friend have kyocera FS-1900 and it keep showing this message (( check waste toner box )) after doing some search online i found out where is this box , now what i read that this part needs to be replaced from the manufacturer and since they dont have this part in there stores i thought why dont i clean this one and re-use it again
now the question is , is it ok ? or not

well its not mine and the supplyer didnt stop supporting it , its just out of stock :S

do you have the driver for this type
its killing me
i mean the ubuntu recognized it as soon as i connected it and i cant find the driver for windows !!!

Is the maufacturer of the printer kyocera? (ive never heard of it before now!)

its ok and yes its called kyocera mata
it maked the photo coping machines , Japanese made :)
dont worry i just found the driver
btw if you see there logo i think that you will know it right away
google it and see it your seld ;)

I don't recognise the logo :(
I'm also a bit confused about your problem now. In your original post, you said it was a hardware issue yet you say you need drivers.
If it's a malfunctioning part of the printer (the waste toner box) then no amount of driver installations are gonna bring it back. :?

at first it was the toner box cuz i was working on ubuntu at that time and the ubuntu recognized as soon as i connected it :mrgreen:
then the driver issue came up when i started to use xp sp3 :@
so i was looking for the driver and i found it
and about the toner box thing , i gave my friend the box and i told him to replace it and then put it back
this should solve his problem :)
so the whole thing is ok now
