Hi all can anyone clear this up for me as you can see in the screenshot Installed RAM show's 4Gb ram but total show's 3.0 Gb ram with 256 Mb reserved for onboard graphics in hybrid SLI mode with Nvidea 8500GT with 1Gb ram. At post the correct amount of ram is shown 4096Mb yet total ram shows as 3.0Gb - 256Mb= 2.75Gb instead of 3.75Gb is this because of the 4Gb max ram in the 32 bit O/S as installed ram shows 4Gb is the os looking at the 1Gb on the graphics card as system ram ? os is it a bug in the win 7 RC any help would help cheers all

Install 64 bit windows 7 then it will show full 4 GB. Plus your video ram and shared physical ram.
This is feature to improve performance when video ram gets full.

Only 64bit OS can use more than 4GB or more of RAM. 32bit OS's can only utilize a little over 3GB.

yup, wat rsvr85 said. 32 bit can only go up to 3gb of ram.

Thanks to all for the help looks like ill be sampling all versions of win 7 now (lol) just installed the RTM Build 7600 now im about to install the X64 ENT version will let you all know if there any more problems with that one.
