Hey guys, i have an really old computer here, it was previously running (i know i'm gonna get beat up for this one) Windows ME. It always required power, but one day it just plain didn't work. The last time it was tried to start it gave a message about a bad battery or something, and now when i connect it and push the power button nothing happens. Also, i don't want to make investments on this one because i don't really care about it. It's a Compaq Something (too lazy to check now :)). Thanks!

Edit: Ah, i can remember the model. It's an Compaq Armada M300.

Hmmm... don't mind the sarcasm here, I just got rid of a laptop around that old as well. Bottom line is this - that computer is worth nothing to you now, dead or alive. You obviously have a better computer that still works. Pull out the hard drive, get an external IDE-USB enclosure, shred the files on it, and say goodbye. But hey, it was Pentium 3, so you got like 6-7 years out of it!

That's probably the best thing to do.
