while creating new partitions a partition called system partition of 100MB was created though i didnt want to create it. whats that ? any idea ??? that partition is not visible on My Computer.

Ok if there is no partition in your drive and your drive is 500gb yes the firmware ate your 40gb of space because when your system crash the firmware is your only hope in recovering your data back and your hope in formatting and saving your drive as well all storage devices have firmwares.

system partition is the partition made by your system for your ram and in this partition takes place all unecessary prefetch or data that has been erased on your system but not on the registry.

So how is it possible to get access to this 40GB firmware??? My Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7 don't even take up that much space. I really hope the firmware doesn't fail the hard drive. :lol::lol::lol::lol:
