The default backgrounds in Windows 7 are very pleasing to look at.  However, many of you like to change the login screen.  There are plenty of programs out there that do the job well.  This one is in a league of it’s own.  Logon Screen Rotator (2.1.0.2) is a tiny freeware program that can not only change your login screen, it can use multliple images or folders of images to do it and rotate them.  An innovative touch to this program is it’s ability to change at a user specified time.

No installation is required for this to work.  Just extract the application and run it.

Windows Guides Reader, Keith Johnson, recently downloaded IOBIT Security 360 after I reviewed it earlier this month. Keith liked it so much, he wrote the following review:

Recently, Rich Robinson, MVP and Webmaster of Minty White Dot Com, sent out a most useful piece of information in his website RSS feed. Specifically, Rich informed readers like myself of a utility program called IObit Security 360. Now, I have seen quite a few computer care programs out there, but this program is really cool. What I like most about it is the extremely simple and intuitive user interface. Once you download and install the program and get it running, you will notice four basic buttons on the left pane of the utility: Overview, Scan, Protection and Tools.

I’m an iPhone junky. I’ll admit it. I love the thing. I love it as a productivity app, as a digital voice recorder, as a clock to quickly check what time it is on the other side of the world where some of my family lives, as a quick & easy email client. I could go on and on.

Windows XP can use a Powertoy, which lets you resize images from the right click menu. This tool was not made available for Windows Vista. In search of a similar tool, I found the Image Resizer Powertoy Clone. Here’s how to do this in XP.
