If you’d like to customize your drive icons like in the image above, you can do it with AdSevenDriveIconChanger.

If you’re tired of the plain drive icons like the ones below, you can change them with this simple tool–made by Windows Forums member Batupata:

Just open the tool, click browse to locate a good icon, select the drive you want to customize, and click Change Icon. Some of the best dll files containing system icons are available at a click or you can choose your own. Need icons? Windows 7 Icons.

You can easily reset the icon by selecting the drive letter and clicking Reset Icon:

Your icon is now back to its original state:

It changes the backgrounds and background thumbnail of your Windows 7 Card Games to a ‘Mintywhite.com’ theme-pack.

If you’ve ever spent any amount of time playing card games, i hope you find this to be a refreshing change.

As you can see, it’s a bit ropey and isn’t completely finished.  Unfortunately this only works on x86 systems (so far) and has only been tested on Windows 7 OS.

I’m also totally open to suggestions/requests for any future builds.

Here’s how to easily apply the changes to your system. (You’ll require administrative permissions)

Step 1.

Close any current card games & download CardGamesPatch, unzip it to %windir%\system32

Step 2.

Take ownership of %windir%\system32\CardGames.dll

Step 3.

Right click CardGamesPatch.exe and click Run as Administrator,

Click the Read instructions for a reiteration of this guide, and click the Start button for the patch to begin.

If all went well you should see a “Patch successful !” message.  Click Quit.

Now when you open up your card games, press F7 and choose a new background.

I haven’t worked out how to change the names of the backgrounds yet – If anyone knows off the top of their heads, I’d be forever grateful.

Quick Backup Tutorial

If you’ve used a backup program before, then you probably don’t need to read this, but if this is your first time using a backup program, it may help to follow this guide.

Open Titan Backup and select Backup
Give the backup task and name and description and press Next.
Now select the items you would like to backup.
After choosing a Files/Folders, simply check the files and folders you want to backup. Press OK.
Titan will now calculate the backup size. Press Next.
Select a backup location. Press Next.
Choose Compression & Encryption settings and the Backup type (I recommend leaving these as the default if you are unsure of what to choose.) Press Next.
Choose a Backup Schedule. Press Next.
Select Notifications and actions (I recommend leaving these as the default if you are unsure of what to choose.) Press Next.
Press Yes to backup.
After the files are backed up, you will be notified.
Verify your backup files are in the location you set.
