According to Neowin, Microsoft is set to release the second Beta 2 of their (brilliant) Windows Live Essentials Suite next Tuesday.

LogMeIn-Express is now Join.me

You might remember the article about LogMeIn Express (Remote Desktop, No Installation Required). I just checked in on the site and discovered that is has gone Pro. Though they still claim it’s in beta stage.

The service is totally refurbished with both a new look (icons, design etc.) and a very short and handy URL: join.me.

Editorial: The Future is in the Cloud(s)

I recently posted in Windows Forums about what I think will be the emphasis in Windows 8 development. In a nutshell, I talked about “the cloud”. For those of you not familiar with this terminology, just think about local storage; your C: drive. Now imagine all of the things you hold dear on that little hard drive platter floating around on the internet, ready for you to grab from anywhere. Windows Forums member Obinna Osobalu shares the announcement of the release of Windows 7 Serivce Pack 1 Beta.

Today at Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010, Microsoft announced the public availability of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 service packs. This early release of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta is not available for home users. In order to download and install the Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Beta you must currently have a Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version of Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 already installed.
