Many features we find in modern software are very useful, but sometimes, is complicated to know what they actually do.

InPrivate Browsing is of this kind. The name itself drives to confusion. If you haven’t read about it, you might think is a sort of protection over your privacy on Internet.

To complicate the things a bit, the browser even comes with two new modes with similar names, InPrivate Browsing and InPrivate Filtering.

Padlocked Use Scheduled Tasks and Audit Features to Control a Folder [How To]Imagine that you have a shared folder but you want to know if someone changes something. You, for sure, have heard about auditing files before and may never had a chance to take advantage of this feature. Here you will find a way to do it.

With Windows 7 we can control when a folder has changed and show a message to us.

I know this post can be a little complex, but believe me, the best way to control your computer is knowing how works.

So, why not start from the beginning?

Press WinKey + R, type gpedit.msc, and press Enter.

Go to Local Computer Policy, Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Settings, Local policies, Audit Policy.

adobereader Critical Vulnerability Affects Flash Player, Adobe Reader and AcrobatAdobe has found a critical vulnerability that affects Flash Player, Adobe Reader, and Acrobat.

Adobe informs that affected software include: Adobe Flash Player 10.0.45.2, 9.0.262, and earlier 10.0.x and 9.0.x versions for Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris and Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.3.2 and earlier 9.x versions for Windows, Macintosh and UNIX.

To be more clear Adobe Reader and Acrobat 9.3.2 and earlier 9.x versions for Windows are affected.

As you notice Adobe Reader and Acrobat 8.x are not affected.

The company also informs that this vulnerability is being exploited so I recommend you continue reading.

Windows 7 Windows Update Windows Update TroubleshootingUnfortunately Windows Update  problems are very common. Read the following post to know how to solve the more common Windows Update problems. If you are not experiencing problems now but you want this post to be bookmarked press Ctrl +D.

The first thing we face when Windows Update fails is that it doesn’t  show us a message, Microsoft still thinks humans don’t use computers so it prefers to give us a code number instead. Of course, you are missing with that code, so you have to Google it and pray to be lucky.

In this post I describe what I have learned fighting with these numbers. As you will see many of the problems are solved in the same way, for that they are listed by the solutions.

Shutdown A Windows Computer Remotely Using Windows 7

Windows 7 Icon Shutdown A Windows Computer Remotely Using Windows 7I don not know if many of you are used to shutting down computers remotely; if you want to do it on a different computer, you need to enter a username and a password.

You need a user with administrator rights to shut down a computer remotely.

This method works on Windows XP, but Windows 7 can remember the user and password even after a reboot of your computer.

First, press Winkey + R, type \\nameserver, and press Enter, Windows then will ask you for the credentials. Remember to change nameserver for the name of the PC you want to shut down.
